The Necklace after Maupassant
A dark and goth tale in a ballroom, made accessible for children
London French Institute
Directed by David Furlong
Guy de Maupassant is the father of modern short stories. From 1880 to 1890, he wrote over 300 short stories and six major novels. Exchange Theatre takes a new look at the prolific mind of Maupassant and attempts to recreate his world. Using all the components of his literary genius, mixing realism and the supernatural, the company invites itself to Maupassant’s home and transforms the Médiathèque into a wonderful experience for all ages.
