Weekend Master Classes : Moliere

Exchange Theatre offers various master classes on a chose theme.

MOLIERE

Exchange Theatre weekend masterclasses are a two day crash course taught by artistic director David Furlong. It is an opportunity to brush up skills and learn more on a chosen theme.

Over two days, you will explore Moliere’s characters from the french Valet to his heros. It will be about finding out how the characters evolved and left an eternal mark, even in contemporary culture and discovering the main title roles by spending time on Dom Juan, The Misanthrope, Tartuffe and The Miser. This is the opportunity to have a first look at a French stylistic way of approaching classical drama, with the heritage of mid 20th century French theatre makers like Antoine Vitez.
