2012 will be multi-lingual !

RESIDENT COMPANY
AT THE FRENCH INSTITUTE IN LONDON
Our first season in English at the French Institute gave a unique quality of interactive family shows: a real exchange was created with the young audience, breaking the wall between the stage and the public, and offering stories where the children were activelyinvolved. Now embarking on a new season with revivals of How to make a good riding hood?, NUT! or Clocks among others, we're now delighted to develop a rare kind of bilingual shows for the children, designed specifically for the multi-cultural families who live in London and are used to bilingualism on a daily basis. See the current videos and previous works here.

Would these two women be able to undo the spell ?

by David Furlong and Alex Kanefsky
“ Alex and David created « CLOCKS ! » for the creative resideny of kids shows at the French Institute, as a hilarious 50 minutes rendition of a unknown Jules Verne tale. The chemistry of the duo and the quirky nature of their double-act led them to take on all of Jules Verne's work and Around Jules Vernes in 80 minutes was born.
- Journey to the Center of the Earth, Twenty thousand leagues under the sea, Five weeks in a balloon, Around the world in 80 days, Master Zacharius, Journey to the center of the earth, all in 80 minutes!

This fantastically funny show features all your favourite characters : Passe-Partout, Phileas Fogg, Captain Nemo and of course all the incredible machines! Jules Verne pioneered the science-fiction genre. He wrote about space, air, and underwater travel before any of it were even possible. He is the third most translated author in the world. Le Deuil sied a Electre
“Mourning becomes Electra” by Eugene O’Neill.
Performed by The Troupe, Exchange Theatre amateur’s group.
The story of the curse of the Mannon family is O'Neill's take on the Oresteia and a way for this major playwright, Nobel prize winner, to talk about his own family. It's also a great way for an amateur dramatic company to take their first step into tragedy.
