David Furlong

DAVID FURLONG Artistic Director
David is from Mauritius and was educated in both English and French. He trained as an actor at the National Theatre in Paris where he studied with international directors including Deborah Warner. He co-founded the Yanka Company in France, a group of actors who developed over 3 years new contemporary forms of theatre in Paris and Avignon with Hans Peter Cloos and Michel Lopez. As an actor: Cleante in The Miser by Moliere, Jury Number 5 in Twelve Angry Men, Camille in A Flea in the ear by Feydeau. National Theatre of Chaillot in Paris: Peter in Mourning becomes Electra by Eugene O'Neill (dir: Jean-Claude Durand),Gueule de Four in Tatowierung (dir: Hans Peter Cloos), the title role of Monserrat in Monserrat. In London: Red Oleander by Rabindranath Tagore directed by Kevin Rowntree, Shakespeare's Love's labours lost directed by Knight Mantell, Aegeus in Medea directed by Jodi de Souza. David translated and directed The Exchange, Bal Trap and The Flies. He wrote Square(d) and Business and directed the latter. He also performs in Madame's Late Mother and The Flies. He also teaches drama.

Fanny Dulin

FANNY DULIN Admnistrative director
Fanny began her training in France before joining The Bridge Theatre Training Company in London. Fanny is an actress and the administrative director of Echange Theatre Company. She has played the part of Hyppolita in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Flora in Harold Pinter’s Slight Ache. Her other credits include: Bella Lambert in Operation New Life, Cinderella in Cinderella, Pilate in The Mystery Plays directed by Mark Bowden, and Anne Marie in Premier Amour for Onatti Company. Fanny also plays Marthe in The Exchange by Paul Claudel, Clytemnestra in The Flies, Bubble in Bal Trap. Fanny also gives drama workshops to children, from toddlers to teenagers, especially with a link to languages.

BENEDICT COOPER Producer
Benedict obtained a Ba(Hons) Theatre Practice at the Central School of Speech and Drama and is currently doing a masters in Theatre Management. Fully bilingual, he has written, performed, held a lighting desk, fundraised and directed for theatre. He joined Echange Theatre as an intern during his second year and worked as a fundraiser. He is now in charge of new developments and translated Square(d) from French.

Fanny Dulin

VIOLAINE BAILLEUL Diffusion
Violaine worked in Granada, Spain for four years working as a Freelance tour booker for major companies like La Strada and as the administrative director of Animasur. She recently moved to London and joined Echange Theatre. She still works as a freelance tour booker.

PIERRE BECKER Workshop leader and actor
Pierre is a former gymnast now actor and puppeteer. He trained in Paris (Ecole Blanche Salant) and London (Drama Studio London). Theatre credits include ‘The Lion King’ (Paris – Original Cast), ‘Aladdin’ (Northcott Theatre Exeter), ‘Cyrano de Bergerac’ (Royal Opera House), Deborah Warner’s productions of ‘Julius Caesar’ (Barbican) and ‘The Powerbook’ (Paris - Rome), ‘Trap For a Lonely Man’ (Vienna’s English Theatre), ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and ‘The Merry Wives of Windsor’ (Jardin Shakespeare Paris). Dance and Physical Theatre credits include ‘The Alien’ (Laban Centre), ‘The Apothecary’ (Royal Theatre Richmond). TV & films include : ‘The Secret Life of Mrs Beeton’ (BBC4), ‘Wannabes’ (BBC Website), ‘Vendetta’ (LCC).

GAEL COLIN Worshop leader, director and actor
Gaël received the training of the conservatoire de Versailles, and that of l'Atelier International Blanche Salant/Paul Weaver and the Studio School before entering the company of director Jean-Louis Martin-Barbaz. He was then received into the Guilford School of Acting where he trained another three years, becoming fluent in English. He now performs and directs on both sides of the Channel. He also works as a director for Onatti theatre. He teaches Le Workshop to adults for ETC and directed Echange's production of A HOUSE BATH.

William Gallegos

WILLIAM GALLEGOS Lighting designer
William has graduated from Rose Bruford College with a degree in Lighting Design. He was born in France with an English father and French mother. He then moved to the Netherlands where he first became interested in theatre lighting at the American School of The Hague. William came to London to study lighting and to explore his passion for lighting design. He is constantly trying to manipulate light and create images within theatre. William previously worked with The Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, in the Shaftesbury Theatre and in numerous London West End's venues as a lighting technician. He designed The Exchange, Business and The Flies.

Dilan Hoomsing

DILAN HOOKOOMSING Sound creator
Dilan was born in Mauritius with a British mother and a Mauritian father. He studied sound in Marseille, France at the “Département Satis de l’universite de Provence”. He has worked as a sound engineer for the Dance and Music festival of Marseille on several occasions. Dilan defines himself as a sound creator who wants the sound to be like an actor, entirely part of the performance. He creates music and sounds using his talents both as a sound engineer and musician. He is also the guitarist for “A Riot in Heaven”, the Mauritian rock band.

VINCENT CASTEVERT Graphic Designer
Vincent is a freelance graphic designer, working in Paris. He has designed a lot of Theatre Posters, Book covers, Cd Covers. He does all the designs for Echange Theatre, starting with the logos to all the marketing material: posters of The Exchange, Bal Trap, The Flies and aditional works for The Flies including Flash designs and teasing campaign's material.
